There are a number of glycosides which do not fall into the various classifications discussed under Sections 2.1 to 2.10 ; therefore, they have been grouped together under the present head i.e., ‘Miscellaneous Glycosides’ A few imortant members of this group shall be described here briefly.

The sugar components are usually attached at C-3 in solanidine and rubijervine which may be galactose, glucose, rhamnose or xylose and their quantity may vary from one to four.
